Educate –Equip – Empower – Recognize
A quality education is something which every child and youngster should get regardless of their family background and community to which they belong to. We believe everyone is given a unique skillset which enables a person to prosper in life through a decent job. Education is the road to deploy this unique skillset. Life long Learning, being an integral part of our life, awareness about global education will support development in education system and provide more opportunities for children and youngsters to study.
We focus on prevention rather than on fighting the symptoms. We don’t take over the role of schools, but we support them.
The three central themes wherein Ready4life is operating are:
- Digital Socio-Economic Transformation
- 21st Century Workplace Readiness
- Assisting Schools in the digital world
Each focus area has its own mission and vision statement, and together they form the mission and vision of the entire organization. By measuring the individual activities in the focus area and bring it all together we measure our impact.
Focus Areas
1. Digital Socio-Economic Transformation
This theme is centred around assisting schools with extra curriculum activities which the school has no resources for, but still are of immense importance. All those activities are designed to prevent that learners are dropping out of the school system and can’t connect with further education.
Activities as remedial teaching, sport and job requirement awareness campaigns are contributing to the general well-being of a learner and to future possibilities.
2. 21st Century Workplace Readiness
This theme is focussed on how to get a decent job or to be self-employed. In workshops and training we help unemployed and employed to reach their dreams. Programs as Job Readiness, Computer literacy, and basic entrepreneur training are specially designed to meet their needs.
3. Assisting Schools in the digital world
These days modern IT Technology is used to teach children and help learners with their education. In many township schools this technology is not available and requires a unique focus to implement ICT in the township world. This theme contains programs that address the IT needs of a township school.
