Fun fun fun
Joining the Ready4Life team is so much more than working in a nice environment. Another equally important aspect is leisure time. Did you know that South Africa has a looooot to offer? Take the opportunity to discover Port Elizabeth and to learn more about different cultures.
South Africa
First of all, South Africa is a country with a lot of history, a rich culture and many traditions. The nature is so diverse that people call it ‘a whole world in one country’. The Western part of the country is dry, with lots of fertile vineyards and cities with beautiful architecture. The East is warmer and has almost a subtropical climate. There are tons of national parks where you can spot the big five and many more amazing animals. Furthermore, the coast is filled with beautiful beaches where you can enjoy watersports. In the inland, you come across high mountains with breathtaking views. South Africa is, in every way, incredibly diverse and the weather is good all year round.
Port Elizabeth
Ready4Life is situated in Port Elizabeth, also called ‘the windy city’ and ‘the most friendly city’. Port Elizabeth is the industrial center of the Eastern Cape. A port with tons of beautiful, clean beaches where you can enjoy yourself with everything that the sea has to offer, like dolphins, diving, surfing and kite-surfing. In the heart of the city you can find the historical City Hall and a number of beautiful Victorian buildings and houses. The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Museum and the Red Location Museum are definitely worth visiting. At the Donkin Reserve, you get an outstanding view over the city and the sea. What else should you visit? Here are some tips:

You must realize that South Africa is a very big country where distances are perceived differently. For more tips you can always contact Janny Meijerink, tour guide and volunteer at Ready4Life.
